Well branded industry leader is seeking a Unified Communications Engineer will be soley responsible for designing, creating, maintaining, and supporting the Unified Communications infrastructure. T
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and administration of all Unified Communications (‘UC’) system architecture.
- Responsible for the management of administrative and clinic office’s voice environment including, but not limited to all networking equipment and equipment vendors
- Serve as a Tier 3 support team member for national WAN/LAN, Telecommunication/VOIP, and Servers; available for emergency on-call IT support rotation
- Responsible for the architecture, deployment, and ongoing services of router and switch hardware, software, and patches related to the UC system; use discretion and knowledge to maintain related router and switch configuration backup process
- Use discretion and expert judgment to establish level of effort for network installation and maintenance activities; maintain Monitoring and Alerting Systems for Network, Telecommunication/VOIP, and Application Systems
Requirements:
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Must have solid understanding of Cisco Unified Communications manager, Unity Connection, IM & Presence (Jabber), CUBE, Telepresence Infrastructure and endpoints, and Expressway.
- Must be proficient with advanced networking concepts, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, SIP Trunking, and QoS
- Knowledge of various hardware and software platforms not limited to PCs, Laptops, switches, and routers
- Ability to lead projects and maintenance activities across QTC’s national WAN and LAN networks
Education and/or Experience: (includes certificate & licenses)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in business, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering; or equivalent work experience/combined education
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Systems and Network installation and administration experience
- Cisco Certifications (CCNA – REQ), CCVP a plus
- Experience with UCCX, UCCE a plus
