We are looking for a Senior JavaScript/Ruby Developer to join a client for this remote full-time/direct hire opportunity – available anywhere in the US or Canada! The firm is looking to improve the state of its software, thereby improving the lives of software developers, business owners, and users. The Senior Software Developer will be primarily focused on writing high-quality software to solve their customer’s problems. The focus should be paid towards implementing solutions that are well-tested, easily maintained, and built with empathy for its users’ needs. You will be building software in close collaboration with the firm’s clients’ people. In this position, you will be expected to:

• Create high-quality software that meets the needs of its users (right now, most of work is in Ruby and/or JavaScript)
• Automate tests to the extent necessary to maintain systems that are easy to understand and change
• Share experience and knowledge with client developers so that they are well-positioned to succeed, even long after we’re gone
• Quickly and efficiently learn client’s business domain, existing systems, and strategy
• Learn new frameworks, technologies, languages, and techniques so that you are able to adapt to the changing needs of our clients
• Identify technology, process, and communication issues facing our clients and propose ideas to help them improve
• Communicate openly and honestly with everyone, even when we know the news will not be positively received
• Leverage slack time for personal career growth
