We have a contract need for an SAP Functional Developer to support our client in Dublin, OH. This SAP Functional Developer will work with Business Analysts to document and manage business and functional requirements, and to analyze business processes and systems, identify inefficiencies and/or required controls, document procedures, and track key performance indicators. The ideal candidate for this SAP Functional Developer will possess a BA/BS (Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Information Systems Management, Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience) with 5+ years of experience working with SAP software, specifically configuration. Additionally, we are looking for candidates who have an advanced knowledge and expertise working with specific SAP modules, functionality and business processes listed in the application inventory. This person must be able to act as the authority on the integration of business processes to SAP Master Data, integration between the various SAP modules and to subscribing systems. Additional requirements:
  • Ability to Inspire confidence with business and IT leadership
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Certification in SAP configuration and/or specific SAP modules a must
  • Advanced proficiency using various Microsoft Office tools including SharePoint
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, customers and other IT Personnel
  • Proficiency in IT analysis methodologies (i.e. process flow definition, data flow diagramming, etc.)
Additional job duties in this role include:
  • Translate business processes and requirements into functional specifications and/or SAP configuration rationales/designs while enforcing design standards and best practices and meeting client needs
  • Be an advocate for exploring standard solutions or leveraging packaged software first
  • Prototype the configuration and test; as appropriate, apply the configuration in the gold client and re-test
  • Adhere to change control standards & methodology and standards
  • Collaborate with business analysts, internal and external customers to elicit their business concerns and develop workable solutions
  • Work with business analysts and QA team to prepare test scenarios and data
  • Possess a thorough understanding of data, sources of data, and relationships of data for at least one SAP module/function
  • Accountable for completion of work on time to meet business performance expectations
  • Experience with obtaining and clarifying business requirements to exceed expectations in designing solutions
  • Possess a thorough understanding of data, sources of data, and relationships of data across multiple SAP modules/functions
  • Expert in obtaining and clarifying business requirements to exceed expectations in designing solutions
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of the underlying SAP tables, structures and fields for their SAP modules/functions
