We are looking for a Marketing Data Management Specialist to fill a contract role with our Columbus, Ohio client. In this role, the MDM Consultant will be responsible for managing a suite of marketing data files primarily comprised of customer accounts and contact information to extract insights and enable marketing and sales initiatives. The Marketing Data Management Specialist is responsible for the global research, documentation, acquisition, testing and maintenance of data assets, aligned with internal customer needs. Focus is on both account-based data (firmographics) as well as contact data and personas for effective outreach in a B2B environment.  This position collaborates with stakeholders to determine data needs, performs vendor evaluation, database compilation and maintenance, and the evaluation and profiling of data, as well as analysis and identification business opportunity. Additional job duties:
  • Aggregate data from multiple sources and extract select characteristics to fulfill information requests.
  • Evaluate data accuracy, completeness, timeliness and stability and establish repeatable, sustainable processes to maintain strong data foundation
  • Perform internet research to fill data gaps and validate data quality, performing corrections as required.
  • Assess data acquisition options and recommend solutions, including external data providers, public data, social media, digital exhaust, transactional data, and other relevant sources and methods.  Develop actionable acquisition plans, meaningful performance metrics, and tangible results with focus on continual improvement.  Includes achieving best in class content and reach by maximizing the scope and quality of marketing data for lead generation and sales success in driving revenue growth and market development.
  • Maintain acquired data and integrate with other data sources. Develop and enforce business controls to comply with privacy and organizational policies
  • Perform analyses to derive key business insights, for use in building incremental value for marketing and sales.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in marketing with emphasis on analytics or related discipline(s).
  • 3 or more years of experience with using a variety of the following systems, data analysis tools: Salesforce.com (SFDC), Oracle Eloqua, Alteryx, SQL and/or Tableau
  • 3 or more years of advanced Excel experience. Intermediate PowerPoint skills desired.
  • 3 or more years of analysis with associated computational complexity and critical problem solving
  • Strong collaboration, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to adjust to change, deal with ambiguity, surmount barriers, and demonstrate solutions focus.
Preferred Skills:
  • Demonstrated SQL, Alteryx and Tableau mastery, in conjunction with well-developed data analytics skills.
  • Experience with SFDC and Eloqua marketing automation platforms
  • Strong experience in data profiling
  • An understanding of creative visualization depicting data
  • Demonstrated problem formulation and solving skills. Ability to take complex problems and break them down to create and implement actionable plans
  • Communicate findings to make data analysis actionable and understandable by business partners and leaders
  • A passion for innovation, discovery & continual improvement
