Our client in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a full time IT Service Desk Technician to join their team. This role will work closely with the rest of the IT team to ensure effective delivery of all IT support issues. The role will require ability to handle incoming incidents received via phone, email, or walkup. This is a challenging environment; a high standard of technical support must always be provided. We are seeking an individual with the desire to eventually assist with more than just desktop support. Someone interested in spaces such as networks, systems like Emildah, security, exchange. Additional Role Details:
  • This is a fast paced and intense environment; this role has the responsibility to respond, co-ordinate and resolve all IT trouble tickets.
  • The IT Service Desk operates as the point of contact for IT issues. To be successful in this role a candidate must be flexible, motivated, customer focused, and prepared to flex to troubleshoot multiple technologies during peak periods.
  • The Service Desk Technician will be responsible for their individual workload as well as being flexible enough to assist IT colleagues during holidays, peak periods, and sick cover. This candidate must be accountable and be able to prioritize work effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Track, support, and monitor IT support requests to full resolution in a timely manner
  • First line of support for end users
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Manage the physical inventory, which includes desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, and other hardware
  • Full documentation of physical inventory and support procedures is an expected responsibility.
  • Must have a pro-active approach including recommendations for improvements where reasonable and necessary
  • Must be familiar with and comfortable with hardware deployment, which may include imaging computers and hardware configuration.
  • Must be comfortable with administrative functions including scheduling, ticketing, shipping, receiving, reporting, tracking, and problem ticket resolution
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a desktop support environment
  • Experience with Office 365
  • Attention to detail
  • Pro-active/self-starter that can work independently, in a team environment
  • Self-confident, punctual, and accountable
  • Must be a fast learner
  • Knowledge of desktop operating systems, various software applications, hardware, networking and, internet technologies
  • Must have experience performing administrator activities
  • Must be an effective communicator both written and verbally
  • MacOS
Desired Qualifications:
  • Microsoft certifications desired
  • SharePoint 2016 and/or SharePoint 365
  • Minimum Education Required: Associates Degree
  • Undergraduate degree in IT desired or comparable experience
  • 3 years of MacOS experience
  • 3 years of Office 365 experience
Skills:
  • Office 365 suite including outlook 3 years of experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of service desk experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with hardware configuration and management
  • Windows OS 10 experience
  • MacOS
  • Hardware Image Management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a team setting while demonstrating self-sufficiency and independence
  • Availability to work shifts and adhere to schedule; must have consistent time-management and good organizational skills
