Immediate need for a Tier III Technical Support Engineer in Plano, TX What you will be doing as a Tier III Technical Support Engineer:
  • The position is to perform system test, prepare packages release documents, support customer acceptance test and field deployment and provide Tier-3 support for the NFV Platform and VNF based core systems.
  • System level feature integration and verification, inter-operability test with external elements, developing and performing test plans, troubleshooting and analyzing problems in customer’s lab and production systems, new system deployment and commissioning new system as well as 24×7 on-call support
What you will bring to the table as a Tier III Technical Support Engineer:
  • Must have minimum 5 years of experience in system test and technical customer support, good understanding of LTE EPC, SA 5GC and NFV concept, be able to understand feature requirement/design document and create test procedure. Extensive experience with IPv6, IPv4, switches, routers, and firewalls are required
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux OS 7.5+ with OS installation and troubleshooting skill
  • Experience with OpenStack (Redhat or other distributions), Red Hat Director or other cloud management frameworks (deployment, configuration, operations)
  • Experience with network monitoring tool such as Nagies, Grafana, Prometheus, etc
  • Strong understanding of OpenStack, DevOps, NFV, CNF, K8s, MANO technology
  • Disk Management features and familiarity with SAN storage, HP MSA, and other Load balancing and security functionalities of OpenStack and SDN controller
  • Must have knowledge of OpenStack deployment, VM environment, and troubleshooting
  • Good IP knowledge and routing protocol, IPv6, TCP/IP, UDP, ECMP, OSPF, VLAN, IPSec
