Our client has a contract need for an experienced Senior UI Engineer to be responsible for creating professional quality applications and components using Angular best practices. This role will require this person to implement an exciting and streamlined user experience using Angular Framework. Qualified applicants will have extensive knowledge of theoretical software engineering, be proficient in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and have excellent project management skills. Ultimately, a top-class Senior UI Engineer can design and build a streamlined application that meet the needs of the customer. For this opportunity, we are looking for candidates who possess the following capabilities/skills:
  • Build reusable user interface components and reuse existing base level capabilities in new offerings.
  • Translate design requirements and workflows into working software.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting issues for fast resolution.
  • Evangelize best practices and keep abreast of current technology in user interface development.
  • Thorough understanding of accessibility and accessibility standards.
  • Experience implementing responsive designs using modern CSS features and/or UI libraries.
  • Experience developing front-end unit tests and writing testable front-end code.
  • Experience using SASS and familiar with CSS management best practices.
  • Familiar with version control best practices (Git).
  • Being collaborative, self-motivated, and an “always-learning” person, excited to create great web experiences.
  • Natural ability to ramp up and provide guidance to lesser experienced team members.
  • Strong ability to communicate about the impact of decisions around markup approach, cross-platform responsive interactions, performance, and topics like accessibility and internationalization.
  • Strong understanding of Redux or solid understanding of predictable single state design.
  • Thorough knowledge of RxJS library.
  • UX and UI design principles and experience creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
  • Protractor automated testing.
  • Experience with an established Agile methodology.
  • Software engineering best practices (unit testing, code reviews, design documentation).
  • Security vulnerability identification and assessment.
  • Understanding and experience with Amazon Web Services
