A Senior Tech Lead contractor is needed to serve as a full-stack developer lead and coach that is an expert at working in all layers of an application and guiding and building a team of developers. You will work in an Agile development environment as a master hands-on developer architecting, designing, leading and delivering technology solutions to transform healthcare into a safer and more cost-effective industry. You are the primary practitioner-coach on a team and help build the development capability of a team while influencing the technical direction of a larger organization. Responsibilities:

• Lead large-scale eCommerce implementations, such as SAP Commerce, HCL Commerce, WebSphere, PCF (nice to have) providing both oversight and hands on contributions to the software design, development, and integration
• Participate in the development of conceptual and logical architectures
• Design, develop and maintain application architectures that support business requirements
• Resolve integration and interfacing issues between various back-end systems
• Optimize application performance and scalability across on-premise and cloud
• Assist solution and project leaders conduct risk identification and mitigation planning
• Builds strong working relationship with the IT run teams and business end-users. Fully understand technical abilities of tools as well as needs of business users and processes
• Anticipate future needs of business partners and client system needs.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance related to planning system architecture, data transformation and data integration.
• Initiate activities to close gaps and meet future needs before issues arise.
• Analyzes production system operations using tools such as monitoring, capacity analysis and outage root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance.
• Plans and executes system implementations that ensure success and minimize risk of system outages or other negative production impacts.
• Ability to grasp complex issues, even in circumstances where there is incomplete or conflicting information, or conflicting views
• Ability to steer stakeholders towards a common goal and reach consensus. Ability to arbitrate decisions.
• Ability to work autonomously in an international context.
• Estimates to high level business requirements and provide options analysis.
• Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years as tech lead or architect
• 10+ years of experience in application architecture and Java/J2EE software development
• Experience with Test Driven Development concepts
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience with RESTful web services
• Proven experience with client-side web development
• Comfortable working with open-source technologies
• Proficiency in data modeling and API design
• Must be competent in using software development tools such as IntelliJ/Eclipse, Git, Jira
• Experience in multiple web technologies including: Java, .NET
• Experience with project DevOps and automation technologies: Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, Selenium, automated unit testing
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
• Demonstrates knowledge of enterprise and application architecture, software development life cycle, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, and business/functional documents
• Understands hardware/software platforms including but not limited to operating systems, databases, application servers, web servers, integration technologies and package implementations
• Demonstrates knowledge of software development techniques and fluency in software languages and application programming interfaces.
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management

Preferred:

• Java/.NET experience highly preferred
• Experience on iSeries highly desired
• Experience in Digital application architecture / enterprise architecture, systems integration and development, and package implementation with knowledge of interactive design
• Firm understanding of web application design and analysis, design patterns, and object-oriented design
• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to facilitate technical discussions effectively and to deliver constructive feedback
• Previous experience with Hybrid development methodologies is preferred; experience must be obtained while executing ecommerce projects with a global and local team
