Our client has a contract need for a Quality Analyst to work closely with product managers, business analysts, and developers to understand features and create a robust and comprehensive test strategy to verify functionality. This QA must ensure the quality of data in BI is accurate and comprehensive for use by multiple tool sets. The Quality Analyst will create test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts mapped to business requirements, workflow, and solution design documents to ensure proper coverage. In this role, you will perform test executions on complex systems, requiring deep understanding of both business objectives and technical architecture, and will report and track defects until resolution. Additional responsibilities: Responsible for understanding the solution architecture and develop the best method of performing end to end testing Perform back end test on SQL Server Databases utilizing SQL queries. Assist BI developers and technical support staff in defect root cause analysis and resolutions Maintain the regression test repository to meet changing requirements Escalate testing bottle necks that may impact project timeline Participate in the off-hour production releases as needed Participate in the QA Community of Practice to further refine the QA processes and procedures Qualifications: Strong SQL skills and experience in Relational Databases Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and best practices Enthusiastic self-starter capable of quickly taking ownership of features, applications, and systems Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to independently plan, prioritize and perform software testing for complex systems within general guidelines with minimal supervision Ability to multi-task and drive results with a sense of urgency to meet aggressive project timelines Experience in creating and maintaining automated tests and testing suites Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills 1+ years of in-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance Processes and best practices 1+ years of hands on knowledge of SQL query and back end testing 1-3 years’ experience, including internships. A college degree in an IT major, an IT bootcamp certificate, or equivalent work experience.
