We have a contract position available in Tucson, AZ for a Product Development Process Specialist. This role is needed to help the client to maximizes R&D effectiveness and compliance by developing and maintaining R&D processes. This person will champion cross-functional process & tool alignment and will serve as the subject matter expert on R&D processes & tools. Responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains R&D policies, processes, guidance, tools, and templates in collaboration with process owners. Ensures processes conform to established internal standards, agency guidelines and are evaluated regularly to allow for increased speed and efficiency in product development.
  • Provides guidance on product development process, lessons learned and best practices, both internally and externally. Resolves conflicts in the design control process to workable solutions
  • Collaborates with the product development process users and the Quality department to ensure alignment in the product development processes, and ensures a clear and consistent message is delivered for design control practices.
  • Reviews and/or approves policies, processes, guidance, and templates developed by other departments affecting R&D processes.
  • Provides support as design control subject matter expert for regulatory compliance, supplier and partner audits. Provides lessons learned and information on findings.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of product development processes and understanding of how they are applied to Medical Devices per FDA 21 CFR Part 820 Subpart C and ISO 13485
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in the areas of negotiation, influencing, and networking
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization by establishing credibility and building rapport
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, and decision making skills
  • Driven, self-starter with excellent planning and organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
