We are seeking an experienced IT Director to be a strategic partner with our clients by listening, diagnosing, and providing insight and value for their needs and issues while also driving workforce decisions for IT support/projects. This person will coach and manage a team of IT professionals who will monitor and maintain the IT infrastructure of an enterprise client, by delivering exceptional customer service through actionable workforce plans and proactive problem solving and solutions delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:

In the first 30 days and ongoing:
• Understands Infracore’s mission, core values, and guiding principles.
• Completes job-specific onboarding lab and leadership training orientation.
• Gains clarity on Infracore’s client base, business model, products and services in detail.
• Builds close relationship with Operations Manager, direct reports, and Infracore’s teammates via all-hands meeting, leadership development meetings, and tech talks.

By the 90-day mark and ongoing:
• Performs initial review of all department responsibilities and systems to identity potential risks or weaknesses in infrastructure, compliance, vendor contracts, or projects.
• Rapidly establishes relationships with client’s key staff to ask for pain points and follow-up.
• Performs initial assessment of service desk delivery quality to learn service desk ticket data and how service desk metrics compare to benchmarks.
• Evaluates skills and performance of direct reports and conducts weekly 1-on-1 meetings.
• Leads client IT environment to involve possible international operations, 24/7 operations, pending or in-progress mergers/acquisitions and/or complex tech stacks.

Within the 6 to 9 month mark and ongoing:
• Champions best practices for cyber security and infrastructure management & reviews compliance posture to identify loopholes.
• Architects, deploys, and manages Enterprise server, storage, network, and back-up solutions using a cloud-first approach.
• Reviews tech roadmap & annual IT budget to present to executive team for review & approval.
• Participates in client executive leadership discussions about risks, costs, and timelines to set priorities and rectify misalignments.
• Mentors and trains Infracore team members for continuous improvement.
• Manages client IT vendor relationships, major incidents/outages, and lead efforts in client communication, recovery, and root cause analysis.

By the 12 month mark and ongoing:
• Performs cybersecurity risk assessment and shares findings and recommendations to client.
• Conducts in-depth vendor contract review to ensure due diligence, examine options, and make purchasing recommendations to the client.
• Reviews and develops client policies and procedures and completes State of Backup report for disaster recovery abilities.
• Leads performance reviews for all direct reports and creates development plans for success.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
✓ High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education, certifications and experience required
✓ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent required
✓ 6+ years of related work experience managing teams of 3+ and technical ability in an Enterprise IT environment required
✓ Working experience in managing Office 365 ecosystem including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive, with solid understanding of security measures and ability to architect best practices and policy required
✓ Proven understanding of cyber security measures, such as multi-factor authentication, single sign-on (SSO), Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory, and other remote management and automation tools, SSL certificates, encryption & public key infrastructure (PKI) required
✓ Working experience managing IT infrastructures and understanding of IaaS Cloud solutions; AWS or Microsoft Azure required
✓ Advanced knowledge and understanding of DNS, networking (TCP/IP) and routing required
✓ Functional knowledge with Windows Server and PowerShell required
✓ Demonstrated ability to take terminology and concepts of technology and translate that into applied technology solutions in everyday scenarios with professionalism and poise required
✓ Solid understanding of Wi-Fi networks required
✓ Working Experience with Active Directory, SAN, VMware/Hyper V, SharePoint, RAID required
✓ Knowledge of common legal compliance initiatives such as SOX, HIPAA, CCPA & ISO preferred
